We publish our plans openly. Priorities shift as churches tell us what they need, and requests from choirs and directors carry real weight in what gets built first.
How we decide
Led by the people who sing.
Hymnphony is not built in a vacuum. Every release cycle starts with the messages we receive from choir directors, organists and church members, weighted by how many congregations a change would actually help.
- Requests are counted, not just read. The most-asked-for hymn books and features move up the queue.
- Rights come first. A hymnal cannot ship until permission is secured, however popular the request.
- Stability over spectacle. Nothing ships if it risks failing in the middle of a service.
- We say what changed. Every release comes with plain-English notes.

What we are working on
The core hymn experience
A searchable multi-hymnal library across five traditions and three languages, with lyrics, tonic sol-fa and staff notation, offline downloads, four part audio with voice isolation and playback speed, a choice of tune where a hymn has more than one, favorites, reading history and Songbooks.
Sharing a Songbook, and transposition
Songbooks are already in the app, so you can build and reorder an order of service today. Sending one to your choir is not built yet, and neither is changing the key of a hymn. Both are on the bench.
Congregation display mode
A clean projection output for screens and projectors, so the whole church can follow the verses without a separate presentation package.
Desktop apps for Mac & Windows
A larger-screen edition aimed at service preparation, rehearsal planning and projection from the AV desk.
More hymn books & languages
A steady program of new hymnals, prioritized by request volume and by the permissions we are able to secure.
Choir & congregation accounts
Shared collections and service plans for a whole choir, with a simple way for a director to distribute the week’s list.
Deeper practice tools
Auto-scrolling scores, section looping, a built-in metronome and reference pitch, and clearer part-learning controls.
Accessibility improvements
Full screen-reader support, dynamic type, high-contrast themes and better one-handed use.
Casting & external displays
Send audio and lyrics to a smart TV, projector or church AV system.
Printable service sheets
Where the rights holder permits it, a tidy printed order of service generated from your plan.
Dates are deliberately omitted. We would rather ship something that works on Sunday than hit a date with something that does not.
