- Install only what you need . Download individual books and remove the ones you do not use.
- Consistent layout across books, so the reading, sol-fa and score views behave identically everywhere.
- Search across your whole library or narrow the search to a single book.
- Numbering preserved exactly as printed, so “hymn 245” still means hymn 245.

These are the books that ship with Hymnphony right now, across five traditions and three languages. More are added as rights are cleared.
Methodist
The Methodist Hymn Book (MHB), the full Fante edition (CAN), the Fante-only extras and the Canticles.
Anglican
Hymns Ancient & Modern, with the Supplementary hymns, the Canticles and the Psalms.
Presbyterian
The Presbyterian Hymnal, in both Twi and English.
Adventist
The Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal in English and Twi, with the N and NG collections.
Catholic
The Catholic Hymn Book and the New Catholic Hymnal.
New books are added as rights are cleared, and requests decide the order. The definitive list of what is installed is always shown inside the app, on the Hymn books screen.
Languages
The language your congregation sings in.
Hymn singing is deeply local. Hymnphony supports English hymnals and is built from the ground up to carry hymn books in other languages, including translations and locally composed collections, wherever the rights allow.
Multilingual by design
Text rendering, search and sorting are built to handle non-English characters and diacritics correctly.
Parallel translations
Where a book contains multiple languages, verses can be presented side by side rather than split into separate editions.
Local composers included
Regional and indigenous hymn traditions matter as much as inherited European ones.
How a hymn book is added
Carefully, and with permission.
Adding a hymnal is not simply a matter of scanning pages. Every book passes through the same four stages before it reaches your device.
You ask for it
Requests from churches, choirs and unions tell us which books are genuinely needed and where.
Rights are cleared
We identify the rights holder and seek permission, or confirm the material is in the public domain. Nothing ships without this.
Typesetting & proofing
Lyrics, sol-fa and scores are prepared for screens and checked by musicians against the printed edition.
Release & corrections
The book appears in the library, and reported corrections are folded into later updates.
A note on copyright
Hymnphony publishes hymn content only where it is in the public domain or where we hold permission from the rights holder. We do not host or distribute unlicensed hymnals, and we remove material promptly if a rights holder asks us to. If you represent a publisher, denomination or hymnal committee, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
